In a departure for Alchymy, we are developing a new service range, focusing on helping families.

In 2010, life is complicated, and many families, parents and children face particular pressures. Our aim is to build our understanding and awareness of issues, develop innovative and highly effective and pragmatic tools to help families, and to determine the optimum approach to delivering such services.

We have no pre-conceived notions about how we can help, but we are aware that help is needed for some.

In 2008, Shane Downer conducted an analysis of the Intercountry Adoption space in ireland, on behalf of the International Adoption Association (IAA). It quickly became clear that the sector was radically under resourced, and quite unprepared for the pending ratification by Ireland of the Hague Convention on the Protection of Children and Co-operation in Respect of Intercountry Adoption.
